Wine Tasting

On Saturday we took Max to a Santa Cruz mountains winery, Soquel Vineyards.  It was a fabulous day.  Max slept on the ride there (45 minutes + curvy road) and cried only a little on the way back.  He loved his first day in the baby bjorn.  And we got to enjoy a wonderful day with my folks and in laws and came home with a couple of great cases of wine.  img_2593

How did we do it, despite all the anxiety?  We had a home base of operations at the in-laws’.  So, I was able to feed him, change diapers and pump in what felt like a safe environment.  (so, yes, cheated a bit … not ready for Napa quite yet).

For the first time since Max was born, I actually felt like I had a weekend!

Meanwhile, I’m trying the weaning process again.  (Stretching pumping sessions to once ever 4.5 hours)  Check out my freezer full of milk that I’m anxious to use up and move to formula already.
